NIFT Hyderabad: National Institute of Fashion Technology

NIFT Hyderabad was established in 2005 as part of NIFT's continuing expansion across India. The campus serves the Telangana and Andhra Pradesh region and draws students from across the Deccan Plateau, providing government-quality fashion education with NIFT's institutional credentials to students who might otherwise have to travel to Delhi, Mumbai, or Bangalore for comparable institutions. Admission to NIFT Hyderabad is through the National Institute of Fashion Technology Entrance Exam (NIFTEE), conducted by the National Testing Agency. Both the Srikalahasti style of hand-painted Kalamkari and the Machilipatnam style of block-printed Kalamkari are significant craft practices with active artisan communities.
