Nirma University: School of Design

Nirma University was established in 1994 in Ahmedabad and has grown from an engineering institute into a full-service private deemed university offering programmes in engineering, management, pharmacy, law, architecture, and design. The university is well-regarded in Gujarat and western India for its engineering and management programmes. NAAC A accreditation reflects the institution's academic standards across disciplines.

The design programme covers specialisations in communication design, industrial design, and interior design. The B.Des curriculum runs across eight semesters and combines studio practice with design theory, history of design, materials science, and professional development modules.
