NATA past papers are your most direct preparation resource. Part B (MCQ and NAT) answer keys are published by CoA after every session. Part A drawing papers are released as scanned PDFs. Unlike competitive exams run by NTA or IIT Bombay, CoA does not maintain a public question bank portal, so papers must be downloaded from nata.in after each session results are announced. This page indexes all available official releases.
Papers by year
All downloads are from the official CoA portal (nata.in). Availability varies: CoA typically publishes Part B answer keys within a week of results; Part A drawing papers are released as scanned PDFs a few weeks later.
All links open nata.in. Papers for 2025 will be added here after CoA publishes them following each session result.
Part A: drawing paper topics
Part A carries 80 marks across 3 questions. The question types are consistent across years, though the specific subject matter changes each session. Understanding the recurring question categories is more useful than memorising specific prompts.
Composition and Colour
Draw a scene or composition using given objects or elements. Tests colour sense, proportion, and aesthetic arrangement. Answered in colour on drawing sheet.
Sketching (Black and White)
Freehand sketch of a given scenario, concept, or 3D object from memory or imagination. Tests line quality, form, and spatial sense.
3D Composition / Mental Visualisation
Visualise, assemble, or deconstruct a 3D form from given 2D views or instructions. Tests spatial reasoning and three-dimensional thinking.
How to use past papers effectively
Start with Part B under timed conditions
Download the official answer key alongside the question paper. Set a 90-minute timer and attempt all MCQ and NAT questions before checking answers. Score yourself and note topic-wise gaps.
Analyse Part B wrong answers by subject
Group errors by Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Aptitude. If 60% of errors come from one subject, that becomes your priority topic for the next two weeks of preparation.
Study drawing papers for prompt patterns
CoA drawing questions follow consistent formats across years. Analyse the last 6 drawing papers: note which categories appear most, how much complexity is expected, and the level of detail in provided compositions.
Recreate drawing prompts from scratch
Do not copy past drawings. Use the topic (e.g., "a market scene at dusk") as a prompt and attempt it fresh in 45 minutes. Compare your work with toppers' samples shared in architecture preparation communities.
Track your Part B score trajectory
Attempt papers in reverse chronological order (most recent first). Track your score on each and plot it over time. A consistent upward trend over 4-6 papers is a strong signal of readiness.
